These terms explain the rules for using BooksBarbecue. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Using the library

The site is free for personal, non-commercial reading. You may read books online, download files we make available, print them and share them with other people, subject to the licence shown on each book page and to the law of your country.

2. Books and licences

The books in the library are in the public domain or shared with permission. The text of a public-domain work is free to use, but the licence of a particular edition, translation or annotation may differ, and rules vary by country. You are responsible for checking that your own use of a book is lawful where you live. See our copyright page for more.

3. Our site, design and code

The layout, design, graphics, code and the way books are prepared and presented on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy or resell them, or present them as your own, without our written permission. The text of the public-domain books is not restricted by this clause.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools to copy the whole site, or send so many requests that the site slows down for other readers.
Try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its data, or interfere with its security.
Upload, send or link to material that you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful, abusive or harmful.
Use the contact form to send spam, advertising or malicious content.
Use the site in any way that breaks the law.

5. Messages you send us

Texts may contain typographical or transcription errors, and spelling and language reflect the period in which a work was written.

9. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Takedown requests

If you believe that something on the site infringes your rights, follow the process on the copyright and takedown page.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the site's operator is based, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that country, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
